We are in the Top 10 most booked bands on Encore. We are based in Swindon, but travel all over the UK to deliver exciting and enthusiastic performances to our many clients. Having performed at over 300 weddings and parties, we have the experience to ensure every detail is covered. Our set covers a mixture of classic party hits and current favourites to suit any type of party or event. We also offer a Bandeoke service, come and sing your favourite songs with the band. We listened to close to 200 bands before we felt comfortable booking and we are so glad we hired this one. The Opportunity played an amazing set on our wedding day 9th of September 2023 and included every single song we requested. They even played a couple of encores when our guests cried out for more. Tim was communicative throughout the whole process and Rob’s voice was on point throughout the entire set. They were just so damn funky. High points include: Head over Heels, It’s My Life, Cosmic Girl, All Night Long, Lovely Day, Let’s Dance and Message in a Bottle. Honestly, it was f*cking great.

Amazing band, played our wedding in May 2023 and we couldn't be happier. Played two brilliant sets that really got everyone dancing and were super friendly and helpful both on the day and when arranging things in advance. Can heavily recommend!

These guys were amazing. They turned up with plenty of time to spare, and set up ready to go. They were so friendly and incredibly professional. The music was great, and really made our night special. Brilliant musicians and brilliant people with a song catalogue to suit all ages. Would not hesitate to hire them again!

The Opportunity opened our vow renewal reception. They were absolutely amazing, so many songs from over the years, which meant everybody could dance and sing along with them. They were the talk of the reception many days after. Highly recommend to everyone.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

The variety of songs, we try and please everyone. We play the songs like they should sound. Bandeoke is a very popular service we offer. Please enquire for details.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Bath and Cheltenham Racecourses. The Jazz Cafe. Ronnie Scotts. Komedia. Glastonbury, WOMAD and Phoenix festivals. Bath Pavilion. Numerous Army, Navy and RAF bases. Countless top independent wedding venues and hotels across the south of England.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Too many to mention!

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

Yes. Occasionally band members become ill, and unfortunately if a singer loses their voice then they will not be able to perform. If we ever need to use a substitute or dep, then we have excellent stand ins for every role. The quality of the band will be exactly the same.

Do you have different line-up options?

Yes, please enquire for details.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We will try and accommodate timing changes where possible.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes we can, although it's usually better if you provide your own playlists as we can't always organise specific requests.

How much time do you need to set up?

One hour ideally.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Absolutely, you can mix and match from all the incarnations of the band. There is an extensive list to choose from.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes. We provide stage lighting, but not lighting for the rest of the venue.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Depending on the viability of the song for our singer and the band line up then we are happy to accommodate a first dance. But to learn more than one song for an event would require a fee to cover rehearsal time.
