Two piece, covers band for hire. New Zealand, Canterbury. We play at Bars, Clubs, Weddings, Birthdays, Corporate functions. Singing 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s & 2000s hits, with added disco lights. A professional party duo with a full band sound and powerful singing. The Party Singers Are: Paul: Vocalist (lead & backing), Electric Guitar and Bass Guitar Samantha: Vocalist (lead & backing), Percussion Drums and Tambourine (combined with rocking backing tracks) We sing Kiwi classics, “April Sun, Bliss, Why Does Love..” and party favs, “Sweet Caroline, Dancing Queen, 500 Miles” just to name a few. Song list We can do casual or black tie events, and love working in with the customer by finding out what their vision is for their party. We both have over 20 years experience in the entertainment industry and at present we are performing at bars and private functions in and around Canterbury. With our love of singing and entertaining, we are ready to get your party going and the dance floor busy! We are here to help... if your having a 30th, 40th, 50th, 60th, 70th, 80th birthday, Corporate function, Wedding, Anniversary, Christmas function, New Years party or just having a party for the sake of having a party... we have your entertainment covered! Birthdays: Cutting birthday cakes, singing happy birthday.. we know the drill. We will work in with you and help out with any advice if needed, after doing many private functions. We recently did a 80th birthday and the birthday girl was a big Meat Loaf fan. We learned a couple of Meat Loaf songs (a lot of fun) and had Meat Loaf for the background music. If you have a theme or special instructions, we are happy to help in any way we can. We want you and your guests to party and really enjoy the evening without worrying about the entertainment. Weddings: After doing many weddings over the years, we have the experience to handle any situation that arises. As your band, we want to take the stress away and make it as easy as possible... so you can relax and enjoy your evening with family and friends. We can learn your first dance or play it over our professional PA system and make any announcements. We understand weddings sometimes do not run to schedule. We are flexible, knowing that speeches or meals can run over time. All very normal and we are there ready for each stage of the evening. We can also perform background/dinner music for an hour before the reception dance. When the dancefloor is full, we will keep singing the hits and keep it flowing through the night for all ages.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

They played together in past cover bands (3 piece, Rosie Lee and Jam Jars) with resident spots at the Yaldhurst Hotel, Southbrook Hotel (The Brook) and The Redwood Hotel among many others. At present they are performing at bars and private functions in and around Canterbury. The Christchurch Casino, Robbie’s Riccarton, Richmond Club.. just to name a few.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

We love any music that makes you dance and have fun.. there is no such thing as bad music/artists.. everybody has different taste and we respect everybody's choices. We love too many artists to list.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

We currently sing once a month at The Christchurch Casino...

Do you have different line-up options?

No.. The Party Singers Are: Paul: Singer (lead & backing), Guitar, Bass Samantha: Singer (lead & backing), Percussion and plays a mean tambourine! (with added backing tracks) Singing 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s & 2000s hits, with added disco lights. A professional party duo with a full band sound and powerful singing.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

“We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.”

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

"Sorry no.. but we provide background music in our brakes.. We only take (2 or 3) 10min brakes for water top ups or going to the rest room."

How much time do you need to set up?

"We need 40 mins.. We like to set up during the day before the guests arrive. We can organise it with the venue or meet you. We can set up before we start, on the night if required."

Can you roam around while you perform?

"We use the stage area only."

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

“Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time."

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

“Our PA and lighting system is included in your quote. We usually require a minimum of 2m by 3m space to perform, but can fit in smaller spaces if required."
