The Painted Fall was started by classical musicians Imogen and Laura in 2023 as a way to combine their instruments of harp, viola, and voice. Having met in while studying at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, their duo is founded on their friendship and mutual love of pop, classical music, and musical theatre.

Customer questions

Do you have different line-up options?

The Painted Fall consists of just two players, but we use our ensemble in a variety of different ways as we both play our instruments and sing. Sometimes we arrange songs for solo voice and harp. We have some purely instrumental arrangements for viola and harp as well. We have the flexibility to play in a variety of different ways.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Yes, we definitely try to be flexible. If something changes, give us as much notice as possible to ensure we can accommodate any changes.

How much time do you need to set up?

Around 30 minutes to allow us to set up and tune our instruments.

Can you roam around while you perform?

No, unfortunately the pedal harp is big and is not movable during performance.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes, we love to curate setlists specifically for each event we do and will happily work with you to create this.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

The Painted Fall is an acoustic duo and therefore we do not currently have any PA equipment. If you require us to amplified for your event, the venue would need provide the equipment.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes, as we are currently growing our song list, we do have flexibility to accept song requests free of charge. If you have a song/songs you would like, please have a conversation with us to ensure we can arrange and learn the song in time for your event.
