Indie band
Leeds
Public liability insurance of £10 million

The Night Drive are a modern, high-energy four-piece band based in Leeds, specialising in feel-good pop, rock and indie anthems that keep dancefloors full from the first song to the last. Known for their tight performances, standout musicianship and adaptable live sound, the band are a popular choice for weddings, private parties and corporate events across Yorkshire and beyond. What really sets The Night Drive apart is their versatility within a compact lineup. With two strong vocalists at the front of the band, they’re able to bring variety, contrast and energy to every set. The lead singer switches seamlessly between keyboard and guitar, allowing each song to be performed with the right feel — whether that’s synth-led 80s classics, guitar-driven indie favourites or timeless rock anthems. This flexibility gives the band a much bigger, more dynamic sound than most four-piece acts. The band’s lead guitarist is a true standout, delivering tasteful, exciting solos that elevate songs without overpowering them. It’s a detail that guests frequently comment on, adding those unforgettable “wow” moments that turn a great night into a memorable one. Backed by a tight, groove-focused rhythm section, The Night Drive combine musical precision with genuine stage presence and an instinctive understanding of how to engage a crowd. Their setlist is carefully curated to suit mixed-age crowds, blending iconic 80s anthems with 90s and 2000s pop, rock and indie favourites. From big singalong classics to high-energy dancefloor fillers, the band know how to read a room and build momentum throughout the night. Sets can be tailored to suit the event, with smooth transitions and a natural flow that keeps guests dancing. Offstage, The Night Drive pride themselves on being friendly, professional and easy to work with. They understand how important live music is to an event and work closely with clients and venues to ensure everything runs smoothly — from arrival and setup through to the final encore. If you’re looking for a Leeds-based band that delivers big energy, exceptional musicianship and a proven crowd-pleasing setlist, The Night Drive are guaranteed to bring the atmosphere.

Brilliant Band!! We booked the band after seeing them online and reading their reviews and we are so glad we did!! The band were absolutely FANTASTIC!!!!! James kept in contact from the moment we booked right up to the wedding and response to emails/calls was really quick. We were given a vast number of songs to choose from that it was difficult to choose just the number allowed 😂 The band were super accommodating and even included some Irish songs for our family who had travelled over to Leeds. All our guest commented on how brilliant they were and they had everyone was up dancing!!! If you’re unsure and looking for a band then get these booked you will not be disappointed they are brilliant!! Thanks James and the band for a fabulous evening!!!!

After months of searching through dozens of bands, we kept coming back to The Night Drive and we’re so glad we booked them. They were absolutely incredible. Our New Year’s Eve wedding was perfect, and the band were worth every penny. They played two amazing sets with something for everyone, and All the small things by Blink-182 was a definite highlight for us, our favourite. Even though we didn’t book a DJ, the band helped us put together a playlist for between sets and still took guest requests on the night. They genuinely cared about making the whole evening special. We’ve had so many guests message us to praise the band. If you’re unsure who to book, you won’t be disappointed with these guys.

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Clients love our genuine on-stage chemistry, friendly approach and the fact we feel like part of the party, not just background entertainment. We’re down-to-earth, professional and easy to work with, with great communication before the event and high-energy performances that keep dancefloors full.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

We regularly perform at venues across West and North Yorkshire, as well as further afield. From barns and hotels to private homes and purpose-built wedding venues, every location is equally important to us — our focus is always on delivering a great performance wherever you choose to celebrate.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Each member of the band has grown up with different musical tastes, which gives us a wide range of influences. Collectively, these span everything from classic pop and rock through to modern indie, with artists ranging from Toto to Arctic Monkeys shaping our sound.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Our most important performances are always the weddings and private events we’re booked for. Every couple’s day or celebration is treated as a high-profile event, and we put the same care and energy into every performance, regardless of size or setting.

Do you have different line-up options?

Yes. Alongside our core four-piece lineup, we offer a range of optional add-ons to tailor the band to your event. These include: • A dedicated keyboard player for a bigger, fuller sound • Saxophone for added energy and a party or Ibiza-style feel • An additional female vocalist to expand song choices and vocal variety

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We understand timings can change and we’ll always try to be flexible. Small adjustments are usually no problem, but significant changes or extensions may require an additional charge. We’ll always discuss this with you in advance and aim to find a fair solution.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes. We provide background and party music before and between our live sets as standard. A playlist can be planned with you in advance. After the band finishes (usually around 11pm), we’ll continue playing your playlist while we pack down, keeping music running until midnight.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually allow around 90 minutes to set up once the performance area is clear and safe. Setup time can vary depending on access, parking and load-in distance, so easy access (such as parking close to the stage) can reduce setup time, while longer carries may take a little longer.

Can you roam around while you perform?

Our full live band performance is stage-based, but we can roam during acoustic performances earlier in the day if suitable. This works especially well for drinks receptions and arrival music, adding a relaxed and interactive feel.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes. You’re welcome to highlight favourites from our set list and let us know any songs you’d prefer us not to play. The final running order is arranged by the singer to balance energy and vocal demand, ensuring the best performance across the night.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes. All professional PA and lighting are included in our quote. We supply an industry-leading RCF sound system plus a full lighting setup including moving heads, PAR cans, wireless Freedom sticks and disco balls — saving you the cost and hassle of external equipment hire.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes. For weddings, we’re happy to perform your first dance where suitable for a live band. Additional song requests can be learned in advance where possible, though some may require an extra charge to cover rehearsal time and room hire.
