I was 100% delighted. I'm not sure what more to say; the musicians arrived very promptly in plenty of time to get set up, entertained my guests, and were friendly and professional throughout. I wish I could have afforded an extra session!

I can't rate The Moochers highly enough. They did an amazing job and worked really well with the dancers. Kathleen's voice is beautiful and band sounded amazing. I cannot recommend them highly enough - definitely book these guys if you are having a 1920's / Great Gatsby themed event, you will not be disappointed.

Do you have different line-up options?

We perform from a solo singer (with vintage backing tracks) upwards. Our trio line-up typically contains a singer, a rhythm section (piano, banjo or guitar) and either clarinet or trumpet. For our quartet option, we usually add a clarinet or trumpet, but can also add a double bass. We perform from a quartet upwards with drums, with violin also available.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Please let us know as soon as possible. Depending on musicians' availability, we will always endeavour to accommodate you.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We always provide recorded music between sets. A post-performance iPod service will incur an additional fee.

How much time do you need to set up?

We can be set up in 15 minutes.

Can you roam around while you perform?

We can perform as a roaming band.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our fee is all-inclusive.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

We have learnt new songs from the jazz repertoire for special occasions. We also have a small number of PMJ-style jazzed-up pop numbers. They don't form part of our standard sets, but are available on request.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

We always perform in 1920s costume, unless the event has another theme. We provide the perfect atmosphere for Gatsby- and Peaky Blinders-themed events.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

The Prince of Wales, Brixton Leaf, Liverpool Middle Temple

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

We entertained the crowds at the London Moonwalk in 2017, when they had a 1920s theme. Our singer, Kathleen, had her own 1920s-themed room at The Mansion, London on NYE 2015. Our clients include Carphone Warehouse and Tesco, and we have performed for the military several times.
