The Mechanics are an upbeat guitar Duo, consisting of Rob Chamberlain on vocals and rhythm Guitar and Adrian Foster on Lead guitar. They have been playing together for over 10 years, and have individually been playing with other projects for many decades. They provide a varied set-list of rock, pop an indie classics, ranging from the seventies' to the noughties', concentrating on popular well-known tunes. Recently they headlined at the Pontefract Liquorice festival and played at the Rugby League Big Bash held in York, playing in the Fanzone to thousands of Rugby fans. A regular part of the lively music scene around York and surrounding areas, they have honed their performance to get the audiences engaged and up dancing..

Do you have different line-up options?

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know and we will try to accommodate this. If the timings are vastly different from the original booking we can discuss this.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We can provide background music while we setup and during our breaks. This is included in any performance costs.

How much time do you need to set up?

We generally require 45 minutes to 1 hour to set up prior to our performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free background music to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!

Can you roam around while you perform?

No.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Certainly, you can select which songs you would like to include from our set lists. And if given enough prior notice we may be able to learn a few new songs that are not on our set list, as long as we believe we can do the song justice.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes, and we can provide different lighting set ups depending on the size of the performance area.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you, as long as we believe we can do the song justice within our abilities.
