The Mancunium Consort, based in Manchester, UK, were formed in January 2023 by Harry Mobbs and Joseph Taylor. The group has incurred great early success in their mission of widening the platform for Choral Music in the North. Performing at esteemed venues like The Bridgewater Hall, the group have been hailed as "one of the rising stars of the Choral Music Scene" by world-class collaborators The Gesualdo Six, and have recently returned from their first tour. With experience performing at weddings and funerals, the group are open to performing multi-genres music, including barbershop, jazz, close harmony, choral, renaissance and classical.

Customer questions

Do you have different line-up options?

We are offering a quartet or octet for such performances. This will entail Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass, allowing us to be flexible with the music we perform.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We will try and be as flexible as we can to ensure your event runs smoothly, so with enough notice this shouldn't be an issue.

How much time do you need to set up?

We will ask for a rehearsal slot 2 hours before the scheduled time, so we can adjust to the acoustics of the building and judge where it is best to perform from.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Absolutely - please feel free to pick songs from the list, or let us know of any requests in our consultation.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Absolutely, with enough prior notice and ease of access to scores and digital material.
