The Mañana Collective

The Mañana Collective came about when the band leader Jose met some really talented musicians whilst running a workshop series at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. They bonded over their shared love of latin rhythm and the rest, as they say, is history! The Mañana Collective perform both independently as a small ensemble or as a larger group together with Tradicional Cubano, they love to add latin American flavour to the mix creating their own arrangements incredible tunes from Africa, Brazil, Venezuela and beyond! Recent performances include CafeJazz Cardiff, Taliesen Arts Centre- Swansea University, Walthamstow Street Festival July 2014/16, Chilli Fiesta, West Dean 2016 and St James’s Church Piccadilly, London featuring former member of the Buena Vista Social Club Orchestra and Afro Cuban All Stars: Javier Zalba
