Amazing experience with The Jjarrs, who exceeded all expectations. They communicated very helpfully in advance of the event to make sure we got exactly the set-list we wanted, and arrived to set up and rehearse well in advance at the venue. They then gave a wonderful performance, playing three sets note perfect throughout, keeping the dance floor full of our three generations of guests from start to finish. Many of our guests commented on how great the band was. The Jjarrs absolutely made our event and we would wholeheartedly recommend them.

The Jjarrs were brilliant - they created such a lively, fun atmosphere and everyone had such a great time dancing. They are very experienced and professional, and Matthew was very quick to respond and answer all our questions before the event which was much appreciated. They were flexible in accommodating our final song request, and dealt with putting on playlists between their sets and making sure the evening ran very smoothly. They are excellent performers, and we all had such a great time dancing, so thank you so much!

The Jjarrs were fantastic! They played out our community event held at the Kings Head in Pebmarsh, Essex and they smashed it! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The band were professional. Arrived well ahead of the start time to set up, great songs, played for 3hrs and everyone loved them which was the most important thing! What more can be said. Top top band. Will definitely get them back for our next event. Highly recommended.

All prices include:For our base fee we provide the following: - Up to 3 hours of live music split into sets - Provision of all sound equipment suitable for venues of up to 1000 guests - Supply of stage lighting to suit performance area - Supply of background/party music for during our breaks - Arrival at a time to ensure we are soundcheck and fully set up before guests arrive. Please note our fees do rise depending on anticipated arrival time, location, venue access, preparation of requested songs, finish times and any custom items requested by the client.

Band Only (no PA)5 musicians

For clients that require the services of the band but do not require the supply of any sound equipment or lighting (for example in a theatre where there is a sound system, stage and lighting) you can simply hire the band to perform. We will of course bring all instruments and all equipment to be able to hook up to a sound system (amps, mics, leads etc). We will still provide a minimum of 90 minutes of live music or a maximum of around 3 hours, depending on what is required by the client. What we play and how we perform remains unchanged. Please Note: Prices may vary depending on arrival times and logistics in relation to the venue

If you don't require the service of the band but you do require a pro quality sound system and 2 engineers for an event we can help you: - Supply of a 6kw pro quality sound system suitable for events of up to 1000 guests - Supply of stage lighting - Supply of all cabling, DI boxes and stage boxes - Supply of up to 6 wedge monitors for fold back - Supply of 32 Channel digital desk - Supply of stage mics and/or radio mics, mic stands - Supply of a drum riser - 2 engineers (one on stage and one on sound) - Site attendance for 12 hours (eg 8am to 8pm) Note for larger events additional PA equipment will need to be hired in at additional cost to client.

Festival Style Event Package5 musicians

For multi-band festival style events we can provide a package that takes care of the sound engineering and stage management in conjunction with The Jjarrs performing at the event. We will provide: - All front of house sound equipment - All connections to sound system including mics and DI boxes - Stage monitoring for other acts - All sound engineering duties for the event - Stage lighting - A shared and mic'd drum kit (drummers to provide own consumables) - Support to assist getting bands on and off the stage - Coordination of the schedule and management back stage - Liaison with acts prior to the event to understand their needs - 2 Hours of live performance (ideally headlining the event) - Arrival at a time to suit set up and soundchecks For events where excess of 1000 guests are expected, additional PA equipment will need to be hired in (at additional cost) Note: The event organiser will be responsible for providing a covered stage/performance area and a safe power supply (minimum 32amp)

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Pump Rooms -Bath, Genome Campus - Hinxton Hall, Warwick, Newmarket and Chelmsford Racecourses, Billing Aquadrome, Brocket Hall, Down Hall, Gonvil and Caise College Cambridge, DS Smith Paper Mill Newmarket, Hintlesham Hall, Ashridge House, Knebworth House, The Cambridge Assessment Triangle, Alexandra Palace Mural Room,The Wellcome Trust.. to name just a few!

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

The Beatles, Toto, Elton John, Pink Floyd, George Michael, Queen, The Kinks, The Hollies...... the list is literally endless actually!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

The 80+ weddings we have performed at are all very dear to us, but we performed in front of a crowd of 10000 at the Dunmow Carnival event and 2500 guests at the 25th Anniversary Event at the Human Genome Project. In 2004 we were streamed live on an early internet broadcast to the USA whilst playing in a venue in London.

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

Yes the singer will aways be the same person you see in our videos. He runs the band so will always be in the line up

Do you have different line-up options?

We have the capability to perform as a 4, 5 or 6 piece band however will always aim to be a 5 piece band whenever possible.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Always let us know and we will definitely try and flex to suit your new plans. We try and keep things flexible so we can adapt when required

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes we have a standard playlist of party tracks that run via our mixing desk. We also carry an iPad where we can create bespoke playlists for background and break music if it is requested.

How much time do you need to set up?

We like 3 hours if possible to allow us to set up soundcheck. We make sure we set up prior to guests arriving so we adapt our arrival times accordingly. This doesn’t usually effect the price we quote unless we have to arrive early morning to set up.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes you can however we always suggest clients advise us of songs they don’t want to hear to allow us the flexibility to build a rounded set that works for the client but also for their guests. We would like to think we know what tends to work for each type of event we have been booked for so it’s not essential for clients to review our repertoire.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes we usually provide a guide in our quotes as to what is included. But our PA will always be included along with all our instruments. We will use as much lighting as we can depending on space and height of stage area. Unless we do a daylight gig we will always use some lighting.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes, we always offer to learn a first dance song or special request song for weddings and we can also do this for special events or birthdays where a special song may be required.
