The Jazz Dudes is a dynamic trio or duo ensemble that create a unique sound to provide the perfect musical backdrop to your event, no matter the occasion. The group aims to create a wonderful ambience and can play more low-key background music to set the right mood and can also take the tempo up if you would like to create a more lively, party atmosphere. The group plays wonderful renditions of well-known jazz standards, pop songs, bossa nova grooves, danceable salsa rhythms and reggae tunes and are an ideal choice for private events, weddings, sophisticated cocktail parties, receptions, social occasions and corporate events. The group members have performed at venues such as the Ivy, the Dorchester Hotel, Banqueting House (Whitehall), the Royal Court Theatre (London) and Blenheim Palace, amongst others.

Ike and band played for us last Saturday (birthday party with 20 guests). They arrived on time, set everything up and played amazingly well, including our guests' wish list. They played even longer than we had booked them for (3x45min). I highly recommend the trio and happily book them again for the next event. 10/10

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

We usually receive compliments on the high quality of music performance we deliver.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

The Ivy, the Dorchester Hotel, Banqueting House (Whitehall), the Royal Court Theatre (London) and Blenheim Palace, amongst others.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Various styles and tunes influence us, but our training is mainly in the traditions and skills Jazz offers.

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

We strive to ensure that the line-up you see is what you get on the night. If a band member falls ill or is unavailable, we have pre-auditioned 'dep' musicians available. As a professional band, our reputation means everything, so you can be confident that all of our players are of a very high level.

Do you have different line-up options?

The default lineup is three members: Piano, double bass, and drums. A duo lineup is also available for bookings.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try to be flexible to help ensure your event runs smoothly. If timings change slightly in the run-up to the event, just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We can provide a Spotify playlist played through one of our amps. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually arrive 1-2 hours before the performance and need 30 minutes to set up and sound check. We typically perform 2x45-minute or 2x60-minute sets (our set length is flexible). We’re happy to play outside, but we ask for shade, a flat-level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or let us choose the music for them.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our PA system is included in your quote. We usually require a minimum of 3.5m x 3.5m of space to perform, 2x13 amp power sockets, and two parking spaces. We also require venue load-in information and whether the venue has a sound limiter.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

We can learn specific songs before the event but we usually limit this to 5 songs.
