I'm a one-man band that specialises in creating a unique blend of atmospheric folk, rock 'n' roll, swing and big band, and acoustic pop nostalgia. I use a very unique style of performance to create immersive experiences that fit seamlessly within your special day, no matter what you're celebrating or how you celebrate it. Having previously come from working in the wedding industry, I've got a very unique perspective as to what it takes to pull off the perfect day. I'll work with all of your vendors, and yourselves especially to find the right music, vibe and finishing touch to just about everywhere you could possible want it within your wedding timeline to create absolutely unforgettable moments.

Marc performed throughout the day at our wedding. He was absolutely superb! He injected energy and fun into our day! He is incredibly kind and easy to work alongside when planning a wedding. He offered great advice from previous experiences and adds a personal touch by taking your requests on board. You can see he really wants to make your day as special as he can. Thank you so much for everything!

Marc was fantastic and made our event very special. It was a festival themed hen party so a bit unpredictable weather and intoxication wise! But Marc took it in his stride and tailored it to suit all our needs. Great value for money too. Would very much recommend!

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Every client loves me for different reasons. Playing traditional Irish folk at an Irish family Christening, playing all the oldies that everybody loves to swing, bop and boogie too and creating unique covers of pop and folk songs that are rarely performed by acoustic acts

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

The Beverley Barn, The Botanist (York, Leeds, Sheffield, Newcastle & Lincoln, HedonFest 2022, Springboard Fest 2022 & 2023, Filthy's Newcastle, Leazes Park Food & Drink Festival 2016, The Gin To My Tonic Festival 2022, Popolo's Newcastle, Head of Steam (Newcastle Quayside), Hygge (Hull), Harry's Bar (Hull), The Apollo (Hull) and many, many more!

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

My main influences come from blues, rock'n'roll and Americana. Acts like Elvis, Bo Diddley, Creedance Clearwater Revival, Bob Dylan and the Eagles are main stays in my Spotify. That's not to say that I don't love singing Dancing Queen by ABBA, but its great to have that little bit of a different vibe!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

I've played several high profile gigs including the Mayoral Civic Authority for Hull & the East Riding, performing to the councillors, mayors and Lord Mayors of the area. I've played some big local festivals mentioned above but my passion is really all for the gigs where I get to work with incredible hosts and couples planning the perfect celebration

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I'm super laid back with changing timings. As someone that's come from working in the weddings and events industry, I know that timings very usually will need wiggle room! Keep me up to date with timing changes and I'll are sure everything runs smoothly on the date!

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

I do this as standard for every booking, even bars/pubs. As soon as I've delivered power to my system, I'll be able to put on tracks that suit the songlist for the event or ones we've agreed on ahead of time. If you'd like these as part of a live DJ set, I'm happy to bring my DJ equipment for a fee.

How much time do you need to set up?

For weddings, I'll arrive 1.5-2 hours early. For all other events, usually 1-1.5 hrs before showtime. As soon as the systems are powered, free playlist services are good to go!

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

I'm happy to write set lists based on your music likes and dislikes. I'm also absolutely fine with you picking every song for every set (usually 12 songs is one 40 minute set). I do have a recommended order for different genres that's been tried and tested but I'll work with you and work with the crowd on the day to give the best possible performance!

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

There's absolutely nothing you'll need to supply aside from the venue! All cables, PA systems, instruments etc are the tools of my trade, so naturally I bring them as a plumber brings his plunger... If you're planning on an outdoor event though, overhead coverage is required and can be supplied for a surcharge

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

I'll try to learn up to three songs for weddings booked on a package that aren't included on my songlists. The more time I'm given to listen, learn and record demos for you to hear, the better though! For other events, this will only be on an ad hoc basis and costs £30 on top of your estimate.
