🏆 Most Entertaining Wedding Party Band - UK (Lux Awards) The Hound Dogs have been honing their musical craft together for over ten years and are all dedicated, full time musicians. We aim to not only entertain you and your guests all night, but also take a little bit of the stress out of your day - we'll take care of everything professionally and with real flair and sparkle. EXPERIENCED & PROFESSIONAL All members of the band have extensive experience of successfully playing hundreds of weddings, university balls, private parties, charity events, and corporate functions and we're professional and experienced. On lead vocals is Nigel Thomas - a very talented singer and rhythm guitarist. Something that really makes The Hound Dogs stand out from the crowd is that Nigel has an innate ability to recreate the vocal style, intonation and intricacies of the original song where other singers think it's acceptable to sing their own approximation. It's fair to say that everyone in The Hound Dogs is at the top of their musical game. RELIABLE We are totally reliable, punctual, polite and smartly dressed. Onstage we're energetic and entertaining - we're all passionate about what we do! The band is fully self contained, providing a professional powered PA, mixing desk and lighting system for any size marquee, hall, or even outside. Throughout your booking you'll have a named member of the band whom you can call any time, and day to answer your questions and ensure you have great communication - we're always happy to speak to you! FLEXIBLE Our standard set-up is our 'killer five piece band' - but we can easily change our set-up to suit your preference and budget - * Solo guitarist and vocals * Duo - two acoustic guitars and two vocals (often chosen as an extra afternoon entertainment) * Trio - guitar, double bass, percussion and three vocals * Classic four piece - two guitars, bass, drums and four vocals. * Five piece - this is our standard preferred set-up which adds our great keyboard player, who not only enhances our sonic range but the range of songs we can perform too. Hear him in action with us here. * An additional female vocalist - the perfect addition for those sultry soul classics and Amy Winehouse songs, as well as adding backing vocals (and sparkle!) to other songs. Feel free to ask about any of these combinations! DJ SERVICE We also offer a professional and versatile DJ service to keep the party going before, between and after our sets. You can choose the songs or style you want and leave it to us to keep the party going into the small hours, requests welcome of course! Perfect for any event We're energetic and fantastic musicians, we'll have your guests dancing from the first song to the last. We travel all over the UK and overseas and will normally play 1 x 45 and 1 x 75 minute sets, but are completely flexible in every way - just ask. Get in touch now!

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Well, according to our feedback it's usually the way we get EVERYONE dancing, from toddlers to great grandparents! Our enthusiasm, professionalism and musical ability are also mentioned - but the bottom line is we LOVE what we do and it shows.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Although we're based near London, we play all over the country - and even played a beautiful wedding in Italy last year! From huge stages to tents or corners of the room, we're really flexible, can play almost anywhere and are experts on getting the best sound no matter what location. Sound limiters are also no problem.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

We love a huge range of music and have broad tastes- pop, rock, folk anything goes!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Tough one! We've played on London Live, Italy, Hawaii - but EVERY gig matters to us, your reputation is only as strong as your last performance and would never give less than 100% no matter where we played or to whom.

Do you have different line-up options?

We do indeed, from solo, duo, trio - but our mainstay is our four piece and five piece (with added keys)

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We're very flexible and it's usually not a problem, just let us know. Set up is from 5.30pm or later. We can usually provide an early set-up for £20 per hour per band member.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We can offer a set playlist between sets (or you can provide your own device with a jack input we can plug in) or for £150 a DJ service all night 'till 1am.

How much time do you need to set up?

We like to leave about an hour to an hour and a half to set up, but we can be quicker if need be.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

You're more than welcome to have input in our set and let us know which of our songs you'd definitely love to have included (or any you'd rather we didn't play). We've years of experience in putting together the perfect set for you, so you're in safe hands either way.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes, our professional PA and stage lighting rigs are included. All our equipment is high-spec and PAC tested.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If it's something we feel we can do justice to, we're more than happy to add a song. It would need to fit our style of play, but we can discuss this with you.

We booked The Hound Dogs as our wedding band and they were absolutely fantastic! We had a chat with Nigel before the big day and instantly felt like we could trust him and he got the vibe we wanted from the day. He went above and beyond on the day and played a big part in some of our favourite moments of the day, for example singing us in to our meal with no notice - he nailed it. We hope we get to see them perform again soon!

We loved The Hound Dogs! Nigel was super-attentive before the wedding and always quick to respond to any questions we had. On the day, the band had everybody up on the dancefloor for the whole evening - their great sound and energy was brilliant and really made our wedding reception. So pleased that we booked you!

The Hound dogs played at our 30th birthday garden celebration (Aug 2023). We had plenty of choice over the play list and there was something for everyone. They got the party started from the get go, people were up and dancing. Great musicians and lead vocals. So many guest compliments. Really nice guys, easy communication. I m so glad we went for live music, made a perfect by The Hound Dogs. Would highly recommend. Many thanks

If you're wondering whether or not to book these guys, don't hesitate and DO IT NOW. Not only did they play the most epic set, keeping the dancefloor packed all night, Nigel was also extremely helpful, friendly, and made the entire experience an absolute breeze. We had so many compliments from guests about them on the night, with everyone asking where we managed to find them! So thank you Nigel and the rest of the Hound Dogs, for making our reception everything we could have dreamed of!

We had the pleasure of having The Hound Dogs play at our wedding and they completely blew the socks off everyone there, so much so that my wife and I as well as the majority of other guests spent the entire evening on the dance floor throwing shapes to the absolute bangers being played in front of us. The whole process of booking the band and organising the evening with Nigel was seamless and he is very professional indeed. The repertoire of songs in their locker, equipment used, overall setup and general approach to their craft is second to none. What a great evening and I wish we could do it all again.

How often do you join the dance floor at the beginning of a bands set and not sit down till they finish? Well that was our Saturday evening at Tangent Clubs Charity Ball. Brilliant band would definitely recommend. Thanks
