The Hot Shoes is an energetic swing ensemble, that guarantees to get your feet tapping with their exciting arrangements from the swing era and beyond. The band was founded with dancing in mind, but we find that our broad repertoire is popular with all ages and tastes. Ideal for weddings, parties and dance events the Hot Shoes is a professional, experienced and entertaining band that always goes down well! The Hot Shoes often perform as a quartet or quintet for more cozy intimate gigs, but we are more in our element as the 'full throttle' 6 piece band heard on the recordings. The core element of our music is based on the 1920s swing style, including classic swing songs such as the Charleston, It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing and Is you is or is you ain't my baby. However, we also cater for a larger audience by performing up to date chart songs by artists such as George Ezra, Beyonce, Pharrell Williams, Daft Punk and many more. We perform with a either a male or female singer, If you have a particular preference just let us know and we'll take care of it! There is also the option of having 2 singers, please get in touch to find out more. The Hot Shoes was founded in 2014 by two recent graduates of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Pete Komor and Jack Perry-Cockings. At the same time as founding the band, we also started an agency to serve as a place to showcase our experience in performing for both corporate events and weddings, and also Jazz clubs and festivals, including London Jazz festival, Brecon Jazz festival, Langnau Jazz Nights Switzerland, The 606 Club London, Hay Festival of literature and art and countless more. www.musicagencywales.co.uk We have also had the privilege to play for The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, and other prestigious events for clients such as GQ magazine.
