Grapevines Duo are a Bristol-based Motown duo, offering a variety of tasteful and atmospheric music including Soul, Jazz and R&B classics. Lucy and Toby have both been performing professionally for four years and are able to perform and adapt to a more relaxed setting when necessary. Lucy and Toby were a pleasure to have at our wedding! They performed an adapted version of my favourite classical piece of music for me to walk down the aisle and it was AMAZING! Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Individually and together we have performed at amazing venues such as Armada House, Clevedon Hall, The Galimaufry & The Canteen.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

We’re hugely inspired by our Motown favourites such as Marvin Gaye, Stevie wonder, Dianna Ross. Alongside our jazz influences such as Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday & Joe Pass

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

We we’re once asked to represent BIMM university as part of there open day.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our primary line up is vocals/ saxophone and guitar. We are open to other line ups, If you have anything in mind e.g additional horn players, let us know and we’d be happy to arrange it.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

If your timings change after booking, just let us know as soon as possible. We'll do our best to accommodate your new schedule, whether it's adjusting our set times or helping with any other logistical details. If the changes affect our availability, we’ll work with you to find the best solution that keeps everything running smoothly.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes absolutely. Just provide us with a playlist of your choice or we can choose some appropriate music for you event.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually need about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time to set up and soundcheck.

Can you roam around while you perform?

We can roam and perform fully acoustically, if required.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We have a songlist here on Encore and we are happy for clients to pick freely from that; tell us the songs you love, and the ones you definitely *don't* want!

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes, we’re completely self contained. We bring our own PA system to all of our gigs.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

For all weddings, we offer one song outside of our repertoire of your choice, included in the price. There is a fee of £65 for each song you would like extra, to account for rehearsal times, etc.
