About The Get Back Beats

Professional, passionate and energetic 60's function band. Reliable and adaptable.
60s tribute band
Manchester
Public liability insurance of £10 million

The Get Back Beats are a swinging rock n roll band you can book for your wedding, function, party or any event that needs the dance floor full with everyone twistin’ and shoutin’…. Playing 60's hits by The Beatles, The Kinks, Rolling Stones, The Who, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Swinging Blue Jeans and many more besides. We also like to dip our toe into some raucous 50's hits by Eddie Cochrane, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry and Sam Cooke. You may recognise songs from the soundtracks of Dirty Dancing, Pulp Fiction and Forrest Gump. We treat every event as unique but with the same professional service and enthusiasm as all our previous successful events. We prioritise your needs - fitting in with your timings and offering a variety of options including softer acoustic sets and an ongoing DJ set to keep the party going through the night. We’re always happy to tailor our set and discuss any certain requirements such as genres, artists or even specific song requests provided sufficient notice. We provide our own equipment (including lights and smoke machine) and manage our own pa system without need for an in-house technician. Based in Manchester and the South East we play in many locations up and down the country to rave reviews and we’re always prepared to travel to your event, wherever it may be. The cost of which is always included in the fee.

We asked The Get Back Beats to perform at our wedding, in West Wales. You never know for sure if a band are going to hit the spot, until the night. I'm happy to say every single guest was up on the dancefloor, absolutely loving them! The whole band had to travel hundreds of miles to the venue -- you would never have known from their energy levels. Tom was great with contact prior to the wedding, which made a massive difference, one less thing to stress about in the run up. We all still remember every song from the night, and I genuinely had a relative come up to me and tell me he hadn't danced like that at a wedding before, credit to the Get Back Beats. Anyway, don't hesitate with these guys, your evening is in safe hands.

I wanted to thank you for making our Birthday Party celebration just perfect. The night was such a success and everyone had a wonderful time. With 85 guests and a range of ages your choice of songs could not have been better and what made it so special was that you all seemed to have fun too, you really are true professionals.

Customer questions

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line-up is as follows: Vocals-Acoustic Guitar-Harmonica, Electric Guitar, Bass, Drums. We also have a 5 piece option that includes Keys.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free. If you'd like a DJ service via our PA after the final set until the venue closes, we provide this for an additional £100.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!

Can you roam around while you perform?

We don't usually do this as we like to stick to our traditional classic image of a rock n roll band on stage. However we also do our best to meet our client's needs so please don't hesitate to ask.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

It is.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

We have had compliments from audiences regarding our musicianship, song choices and our singer's voice. Tom also plays the harmonica for certain songs and this has proven popular.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Based in the North West but with family in the South East means we have played throughout England and Wales. We have played a friend's wedding in Germany and our bass player has just returned from a tour in Australia. (We're not jealous at all!)

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

The Beatles, The Kinks and Oasis are our top 3 influences.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

We once performed at a private function for a cruise ship company in the managing director's garden. Was great fun!
