The Funkraum Band

Funkraum is a four piece lineup of drums, bass, and two guitarists, playing a wide selection of funk classics from The Meters, Herbie Hancock, Grant Green, as well as reworked Jazz classics. Its four members draw on a huge collective of experience to perform a varied set of iconic tunes. As one of the country's finest Jazz and Funk guitarists, James Fenn has enjoyed a busy career playing with band such as the James Taylor Quartet and is currently the guitarist for The Filthy Six. James Davis is a professional guitarist and drummer with over thirty years experience touring and recording with various artists, including a six year stint with English band Mungo Jerry. Currently occupying the drum seat with the Matt Edwards Band, Gareth Batson has also played for, worked with members of, or supported artists including: Simply Red, Feeder, Republica, Ross Robinson (producer Slipknot, Korn) Mark Waterman (producer Elastica, Swervedriver), The Sweet, , The Family Cat, Jack Adapter, Last Man Standing,, Ed Harcourt among many others. PJ Phillips is an incredibly experienced bass guitarist and vocalist, having performed with Rod Stewart, Tom Jones, Then Jericho, Bay City Rollers, Lias Stansfield, Dolly Parton, Vanessa Mae, Take That, and Curtis Stigers to name a few.
