We thoroughly enjoyed the recital by the Engelfield Ensemble with some beautiful playing and singing from all involved. An attractively varied programme was offered, with some well known favourites as well as some less familiar music and some imaginative arrangements . Ailsa and George Howarth

Englefield Ensemble review We attended a concert in the atmospheric church of St Nicholas in the Buckinghamshire village of Hedsor. There we enjoyed a range of lovely pieces that spanned the eras - from ‘Shepherd on the rock’ by Schubert through to ‘I Got Rhythm’ by George and Ira Gershwin. As well as the highly polished performances, we really enjoyed the relaxed and engaging commentary provided throughout by professional conductor and pianist Stefan Hofkes. We came away feeling that we’d learnt a little something about all the wonderful music we’d heard as well as being in the company of truly accomplished musicians. Wendy & Damian, South Buckinghamshire May 2016
