What do your clients love most about your performances?

Definitely the musicianship and the energy! 80% of the band have been together since 2012 which is unusual for bands. They can either go through numerous musicians or fizzle out after a few years. With us being together for so long we are very tight as a unit and play as one. With that comes the energy of playing live which shows and spreads to our audience.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

We are predominantly a wedding band and have performed in many wedding venues across the UK over the past 11yrs, prob 50-100 venues. We generally leave a few dates free over the year to play public venues and invite clients down to see us before they book us. We love playing in pubs! DEEVINES FACT:- We've never had a client come to watch us and not book us!

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Accepted Answer

Our band members have many influences so this is a hard one to answer! Reggae to Mary J Blige, Lizzo, The Weekend, we love anything 80's (we have a seperate 80's setlist)  Amy Winehouse to Steely Dan and even some grunge bands! In fact it amazes me that we all play RnB as good as we do, because we're all over the place!!!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

We do play for a lot of corporate clients which include Man City, The Army, boohoo and the NHS.

Question 5

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

Accepted Answer

Our core members are who you hear and see. At times we may use musicians (deps) who differ to what's shown as it's impossible for all of us to be available for every single booking. Our deps step in for our core members when needed. They are all seasoned reliable professionals, who have been vetted by us and have played with the band many times before.

Do you have different line-up options?

Accepted Answer

The core band (5 piece) consists of  1 x female vocalist, keys, bass, guitar and drums. In addition to this we can add an additional female vocalist. If required we can also add a saxophonist or a full brass section. Both  options are subject to availability and will occur an additional charge.

Question 7

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Accepted Answer

No problem! Most events (particularly weddings) usually go through many timing adjustments before the day of the actual event, this is quite normal. To ensure we are kept in the loop, after a booking is confirmed, we tend to contact clients from around 6 weeks out from the event and we are then in constant contact up until a couple of days before.

Question 8

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We provide a free, unmanned DJ service. This option is becoming more popular with clients who want to save on the added expense of hiring a DJ. If you prefer to have your own playlists, this is absolutely fine. Ideally, we would need a fully charged mp3 player from you with at least 2.5 hrs of music on to ensure you have enough music for the whole evening.

How much time do you need to set up?

Please allow 90 minutes for the load in, PA set up and sound check. It's important that you factor this time into your schedule. We appreciate that sometimes events do not run to plan so the timings will change but we will endeavour to set up as soon as we possibly can. Once set up, we will run through a few numbers to make any adjustments to the sound.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our setlist can easily be mixed to cater for all age groups thus keeping everyone happy. We can help you choose or better still, let us do this for you. This is our area of expertise and of course it's one less thing you need to worry about!

Question 11

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Accepted Answer

Yes This includes all the PA, instruments, stage lighting and dance floor lights. If the event is for 300+ guests then additional lighting effects and a sound engineer would likely be required and would incur additional costs. We would however notify you if this was the case.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Accepted Answer

If your choice of song is suitable for us to perform, then yes. What we mean by 'suitable' is that any song choice you have in mind needs to be in line with the genre of music we play i.e Soul, Motown, R&B, Pop, etc. However, we'd need a minimum of 4 weeks to learn the song and it will occur a cost of £50 per song to cover the cost of the rehearsal room.
