Founded in June 2012 by three, The Cheers quickly became five, offering male and female lead vocals which forms part of their core five piece line up (the Quintet). Fast forward to current day and hundreds of events later, this versatile family of musicians now offer a variety of full band line-ups. They range from the classic four piece ensemble of male or female vocals with electric guitar, bass and drums, through to the stylish and powerful eight piece which includes four vocalists plus the sassy and funky tone of a saxophone! This experienced and exciting collaboration of professional musicians perform a variety of classic and upbeat tunes from the 50’s to current day; they want to ensure that your party is the best it can be so that you and your guests leave with great memories, and a story to tell!

Excellent communication throughout, arrived on time and set up quietly during dinner in a not particularly large marquee, in the middle of nowhere. Friendly and of course an excellent band, playing upbeat songs and a varied set. We have heard a lot from our guests that they thought they were great. The dancefloor was never empty!

We booked The Cheers band for our wedding reception after hearing them at a friends wedding a few years back. The atmosphere the band provides is electric and keeps your guests on the dance floor the entire night, which was exactly what we wanted for our wedding. Ben Thornton, the band manager, is approachable and super helpful in accommodating all your requests no matter how difficult they may be. We asked to swap one of the Dj sets for some Greek music which was no trouble for them to do. On the night the band were happy even though our food had been delayed which sadly ate into their first set of playing time. The band took this in their stride and played so amazingly to get our guests up on the dance floor for all the remaining time we had left! Absolutely incredible and I would 100% recommend them and book them again🥂🍻

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

The vocalists in our promotional videos are our core vocalists. If you have a preference, please request upon enquiry and we'll endeavour to honor your request. In the instance of unavailability, we work closely with a number of professional singers. All of our musicians are skillful, reliable and we can guarantee that they are of a very high level!

Do you have different line-up options?

Our five piece (the Quintet) is our core line-up which includes male and female lead vocals. In addition, we offer a variety of line-ups that range from acoustic options (two to four piece) up to our eight piece with four vocalists. We also offer saxophone with our five to eight piece bands too!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change in the run up to your event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

As standard, we'll create your own Bespoke Playlist. This will be tailored to you and created by us before your event. Alternatively, we offer our manned DJ-Style Playlist (up to 2 hours 30 minutes for £140). We also offer our premixed playlist consisting of upbeat, popular tunes from the last c. 60 years, at no extra charge.

How much time do you need to set up?

90 minutes. This includes loading in, setting up and a soundcheck. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide playlist music to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Your party, your music! The live sets are tailored to your preference.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes, our only requirement is access to power (minimum of two plug sockets). If access to power is out of reach, we are able to provide two 30m cable reels. SPACE REQUIREMENTS: 4 - 6 piece line ups = minimum of 4.5m across by 3.5m depth (or equivalent of).

Can you learn song requests before the event?

As standard, we'll gladly learn a song request for your wedding or birthday party (we offer this as a gesture and we do not charge for it). If you would like us to learn an additional song, we'd be happy to. The additional cost is £45 per musician which takes into account rehearsal times etc.
