About The Celtic Collective & Acoustica!

The Celtic Collective & Acoustica are London's finest with years of experience playing Celtic music. Plus jazz, pop & country with Acoustica
Celtic folk band
London
Public liability insurance of £10 million

The collective is formed from musicians who have known each other and played together for years. They have come together in various formations to play at ceilidhs, concerts halls, pubs and festivals, private parties and corporate events. You name it they've played it. From traditional tunes and songs by The Chieftains, Planxty and The Bothy Band to more contemporary repertoire of the likes of Van Morrison, Paul Brady, Mary Black and The Corrs the Celtic Collective have it covered. Acoustica! take the repertoire to another level adding pop and jazz standards with Americana and country favourites. Extremely versatile and perfect for a range of events requiring a little bit of everything or a mix of particular styles.

We had a brilliant time with The Celtic Collective at my daughter's 21st birthday. We had never hired a band before and they made it so stress-free and easy with great communication. They are a delightful groups of musicians who played fantastic songs and got everyone, and I mean everyone from 84 years old to 16 years old, up and dancing. Really happy memories for us all. Thank you!

We were not an easy venue or group to play for I think. A marquee wedding with 140 chatty guests all keen to dance, combined with a small dance floor with a large pole right in the middle to boot. It could have been mayhem! But the caller and the band rose to the occasion with clear instructions, a lot of patience and wonderful versions of Scottish ceilidh classics. The band arrived on time but the time table for the wedding slipped, and the ceilidh started later than planned. Again, the band took it well. The wedding guests loved the ceilidh and threw themselves on the dance floor with abandon. We had a great time! Thank you Paul!

Many thanks for your review. Amazing to see everyone join in on the first dance and then to continue dancing without any let up. A joyous evening. Paul

Hi Paul, Just thought you might like to see the email below! The audience loved them - Paul is a superb singer, poetry reader and musician, the other members of the band were excellent, very professional, and the girls dancing was mesmerising. They had to contend with a misunderstanding over the sound and lighting system but despite that they all performed brilliantly. We will definitely invite them back and I'm sure there will be other feedback from this gig. With very many thanks, Jenny

Customer questions

Do you have different line-up options?

There are various line-ups to chose from: Duos, trios and quartets can mix and match between guitar, violin, accordion, bodhran/percussion, double bass, piano, banjo or flute.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

“We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.”

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

“Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free. If you'd like a DJ service via our PA after the final set until the venue closes, we provide this for an additional cost depending on the extra time required.

How much time do you need to set up?

“We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!”

Can you roam around while you perform?

“Yes - we either perform acoustically or with microphones attached to our instruments so we can move around freely.”

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

“Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event. ”

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

“Our PA and lighting system is included in your quote."

Can you learn song requests before the event?

“If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc. ”
