The Brim Ceilidh Band

The Brim specialise in providing an upbeat Ceilidh or Barn Dance for weddings, birthdays, private functions and other events however big or small. Although we are based in Cornwall, we also cover Devon and are happy to come further afield if required. Our repertoire of ceilidh dances covers dances from, but not limited to, Scotland, Ireland, Wales and Cornwall such as Virginia Reel, The Siege of Ennis and Dashing White Sergeant. The Brim boasts a collective wealth of experience playing for some of Cornwall’s top ceilidh bands as well as other music ensembles across Cornwall. The result is an exciting and energetic mix of both new and traditional ceilidh dances with a sound that a 5 piece would be proud of! The Brim have confirmed their reputation as one of the top ceilidh bands in the South West boasting a reputation for repeat appearances on the Main Stage at The Little Orchard Cider and Music Festival. ‘Ceilidhs’ or ‘Barn dances’ are the perfect ice breaker at any event and are a very easy and fun way to interact and socialise with others. They are suitable for any age and dancing experience is not necessary. For those that have never heard of them or experienced one before usually come away from a ceilidh with a big smile on their face wanting more! ‘The Brim’ comes with its very own highly experienced caller who is able to teach and lead people through the dances whatever your age or ability.
