The Brave are a talented, fun and energetic ceilidh band who since November 2017 have been entertaining dancers with a fantastic fusion of traditional tunes with rock, pop and dance classics! Their arrangement for the dance 'The Circassian Circle' ending with a version of 'Freed From Desire' is a highlight! They are excellent at calling and teaching dances with the ultimate aim of providing a fun night and great atmosphere. The band comprises of Accordion/Caller, Fiddle/Caller, Guitar, Bass & Drums and the band regularly showcase their talents in Edinburgh at venues such as Stramash (free entry) and Ghillie Dhu. The band also want to have fun and enjoy themselves on stage and if the dancers are happy, the band is happy and a great night is had by all. The band have been lucky enough to appear at many great venues in Scotland such as the Edinburgh Corn Exchange (Hogmanay Hoot), Loch Lomond Golf Club, Cameron House, Radisson Blu Glasgow and the Assembly Roxy in Edinburgh. Booking the Brave will be the best decision ever made!

We, at Scot Baby Box Appeal had The Brave Ceilidh Band play at our Charity Gala fund raiser in Oct. The band were absolutely brilliant. They were very easy to work with, were in contact beforehand to make sure it went smoothly, arrived early on the night to set up. They were great with the guests and calling out all the dances, as well as introducing us to some new ones that I hadn't seen before. There was an excellent mix of traditional ceilidh music with some modern twists which was well received by everyone and made it a bit different. The dance floor was always full and everyone had a great night. I would definitely work with the Brave Ceilidh band again Thanks

The Brave Ceilidh Band has played for Laldie Ceilidhs on several occasions. Each time they have completely hit the spot for us. They seem totally focused on creating a great experience for the guests. They create an energetic mood in the dancers and get the tempo just right. The repertoire is wide-ranging to suit different crowds, they play great tunes, modern as well as traditional, playing with a rocky vibe and always with a clear beat for dancing – it’s just a fabulous sound. Scott and Ian share the calling and they are both friendly, encouraging and accurate. They are adaptable, taking the time required without over-cooking the instructions.
