About The

High octane Party Band from the North West playing upbeat, original takes on your favourite party songs from across the decades!
Guitarist
Manchester
Public liability insurance of £10 million

The String Beans have a unique repertoire that incorporates classic songs from across the decades, reimagined into new styles from gypsy jazz to ska, rock n roll and swing. Formed in 2014 by guitarists Chris Twigg and Jake Stentiford the plan was to play a mixture of modern rock/pop classics with a gypsy twist. Having quickly made an impact on the Manchester scene, the duo has since expanded into a full 5 Piece Party band. Known for their frantic and heavily improvised live shows mixed with intricately arranged medleys, The String Beans are guaranteed to bring an energetic and unique performance every time.

We heard String Beans perform at Oxjam in late 2015 and decided on the spot that we wanted them at our wedding reception. Their performance on the day was just perfect with a combination of classic gypsy jazz tunes and innovative arrangements of old classics. They were really organised and were spot on with communicating with us about the big day putting our minds at ease. We could not recommend these guys (and gals) enough!' Viki & Nick

Chris and Jake travelled down to my hometown in Bradford on Avon to play at our wedding over Easter. We had spotted them at the Manchester Gin Festival last year and when we got engaged shortly afterwards knew we had to try and find them. They played a great set, the guests really enjoyed their music and our in laws are fancying them for their 60ths next year! We can't thank them enough for travelling all that way and making our day perfect! Thank you again! Kate and Jim
