The Amanti have been playing together since 2003. Originally perceived as an ensemble combining string quartet and soprano voice, the Amanti have performed at many well-received concerts in the Southwest, specialising in their own arrangements of operatic arias and songs. To this, they soon added a wedding and function side, meeting popular demand for such a flexible approach. They have played at a great variety of events, from a Viennese ball to a Teddy Bear Signing Day and Village Fete with regular appearances at weddings, birthday parties and corporate dinners. In recent years, the group have performed mainly as a trio, able to cater for smaller venues and/or budgets.

They were simply fantastic!

Fabulous. 50th birthday party for my wife, held at The Redcliff Hotel, Paignton, Devon. From the moment I first spoke to Janna everything was easy to arrange on the musical front. I felt confident enough not to ask for any recordings to listen to, and I was not disappointed. Everything about this ensemble was lovely. The characters, and of course the music! It achieved the perfect balance for the occasion. Never intrusive but always a delight. Beautiful arrangements. I shall look for an opportunity to hear them again.

Thank you so much for making our first ball so special. Your beautiful music made the evening - many people have commented on it - loving it! Whenever and wherever you are involved - the event has a magical touch of class. Such talented and lovely people.

Do you have different line-up options?

We play as a string trio with two violins and a cello, occasionally also with violin, viola and cello, or even soprano, violin and viola.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

How much time do you need to set up?

We only need about ten to fifteen minutes to set up.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes, of course you can, we will discuss all the detail with you beforehand.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes. We bring our instruments, you just supply three chairs without arm rests.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes, we can arrange and add specific pieces especially for you. Sometimes this may be charged separately, but we will tell you if that's the case.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

We perform with enthusiasm and sensitivity as well as an eye for detail - that's what we've been told.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

We mainly play in churches and halls, but have also performed in shops, gardens and tents...

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

We love the Carducci string quartet.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

That's hard to say - we've played for so many different events.
