The 145s
About The 145s
The 145s are an energetic, versatile and experienced function band. We're London-based but we have taken our music all over the UK. We specialise in blues, soul, motown, rock 'n' roll and funk from the 60s right up to the present day, with a great selection of current and classic pop covers too. We mix well-known versions of great tunes with our own thrilling arrangements featuring our trademark vocal harmony. We'll happily learn new material at your request and we'll even arrange it especially if you want something from another genre - all part of the service. We usually play as a seven-piece band: Natalie (vocals), Charlie (vocals and trumpet), Jon (sax), Chris (guitar and vocals), Tim (keyboard and vocals), Alex (bass and vocals) and Ed (drums and vocals). We will happily scale down to a four- or five-piece combo (or even smaller if needed), or up to a full nine-piece show band by adding extra horns. We've got years of experience providing entertainment at weddings, birthday parties and corporate functions but we can provide great live music whatever the occasion. Filling a dancefloor is our particular pleasure. A typical performance is 3 x 60min sets with background music in-between, but we'll happily adapt to your needs. We provide all equipment including PA, backline and lights - we just need power. We also have full public liability insurance.
The 145s' Reviews
From customers:
I can't really sum up what an amazing time we all had thank you all so much. My parents are massive dancers and were singing your praises as the best gig since the 80's!! "We booked the 145s after seeing a public gig and they seriously know how to rock a wedding - our dance floor was never empty. From our first dance which they learnt just for us to the last song of the night some 5 hours later they played with the same enthusiasm and passion. We loved that they clearly love what they do and that really comes across. They are professional, smart and a pleasure to chat to we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
The Christmas Party 2013 was a great success and I think that you and your fellow musicians did a great job. You certainly got more people on the dance floor than [other bands] in previous years. I would certainly have no problem in recommending you to others.
