Tessa Deterding’s beggar woman (which I think is an underrated character at the best of times) sings absolutely stunningly and I was close to tears for her sake in the final scene.

As a co-producer for Sweeney Todd in which we cast Tessa as the Beggar Woman, I can testify to her high level of professionalism and musical talent that impressed everyone involved. I have also seen her perform with the Berwick Consort; another memorable concert.
