Customer questions
What do your clients love most about your performances?
My music is uplifting for all sorts of events from pop up performances at festivals to craft fairs and country shows. I can provide background or foreground music to add atmosphere to events from wakes to wedding receptions, banquets, corporate or pub themed events
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
Various wakes, private functions, Hadleigh Show, Lavenham Spring Crafts, Strumpshaw Tree Fair, Sandringham Flower Show, Burghley Country Show, Creake Abbey, Rural Pastimes at Euston Park, Weald Country Show, Purleigh Country Show, Mid Suffolk Light Railway, St Peters Cultural Venue Sudbury, Hadleigh Town Hall/Guildhall and Trentham Gardens in Staffordshire
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
Simon Mayor, Dave Barker, Andy Irvine, Donal Lunny, George Butterworth, Sierra Hull, Bill Monroe, Nic Zuppardi and a host of talented Irish and Scottish session musicians
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
Shows at Burghley House and Sandringham Estate rate highly but closely followed by gigs at Hadleigh Show in Suffolk, Creake Abbey in Norfolk, Weald Country Show in Essex and Trentham Gardens in Staffordshire.
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
Yes no problem. I have a playlist of popular Irish and Scottish music which is in keeping with the music I play.
How much time do you need to set up?
30 minutes is enough but a bit longer if access or parking is an issue.
Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?
My set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works for each event. However, I'm very happy to chat and make sure we find what works for your event.
Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?
I bring everything I need from minimal equipment when playing totally acoustically to a suitable PA for larger or more noisy events.
Can you learn specific pieces before the event?
I have a very comprehensive repertoire of Irish and Scottish tunes to choose from but I'm happy to discuss anything you may wish to add if it is key to the success of the event.
