Verified profile

Temmy has been playing drums for a few years and he draws his inspiration from a lot of Iconic drummers today from Calvin Rodgers, Larnell Lewis, Chris Coleman, Benny Greb, Anika Niles to drummers around him. Over the years, He's had the privilege of meeting and working with phenomenal musicians and producers across different genres; gospel, rock, blues, r&b, rock n roll, pop any many more. Temmy first realised his passion for music and drumming from watching musicians at church with the fire burning brighter with each encounter. The hunger for more led him to dig deeper, watching, learning and asking questions as he came across new challenges. Temmy’s passion paved the way for him to meet and work with amazing artists and musicians in the UK. Following his passion, Temmy went on to study at dBs Music in Bristol where he met like minded musicians, working on various projects and being a part of Stone Theory (Hard rock and Blues band) and Takenda (Soul, Funk and r&b band). His home church New Wine Church Gateway House played a major role in nurturing him to become the musician he is today. Having a Music Director who saw his raw potential and shaped it into something much more and world class musicians who always push and encourage him to be better and versatile with every gig. Through New Wine, Temmy has had the opportunity of working with some of the the top UK and International Gospel artists; the likes of Aaron T Aaron, Muyiwa & Riversongz, Nathaniel Bassey and more.

Temmy is a dream studio collaborators. The drums sing under his touch, not every drummer has that in them. He's one of those drummers you want in the studio with you, diverse in playing techniques and passionate about his craft.

As a Bassist and MD of a function band, what I look for in a drummer is pocket, groove and flawless sense of timing and rhythm, with a few cheeky chops thrown in for good measure. Temmy brings all of these to table in abundance. Laying down a solid foundation for every performance, be it rehearsal, recording or live.
