The Tartan Trio are one of the UK's finest professional ceilidh bands available for weddings, functions and corporate events. Delivering fantastically energetic ceilidh sets, you're guaranteed entertainment from the first note to the last. The band performs all over the UK and is in high demand with a busy schedule.
As one of only a handful of professional Scottish Ceilidh bands, the members are young and extremely talented musicians. Having trained at both the Royal Northern College of Music and Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, each member maintains a busy freelance career and have performed with a variety of artists and leading UK orchestras ranging from indie-folk band Belle and Sebastian to singing sensation Andrea Bocelli.
A typical evening of dancing with the Tartan Trio includes a good mix of well-known Scottish Ceilidh standards with wee modern hints. All dances are expertly guided by our enthusiastic dance caller ensuring everyone feels confident to join in the fun, particularly if it is their first Scottish Ceilidh dance experience! The great thing about a ceilidh is that it is so accessible - even for those with two left feet! Whether young, old, a seasoned pro or an absolute beginner, our wedding ceilidhs are designed to be inclusive for all. With a Tartan Trio ceilidh, your guests will have a fantastic experience to share on the night, whilst creating ever-lasting memories.
We've worked tirelessly to create a set list of dances to include lots of well-known favourites with a couple of surprises along the way! During one of our ceilidhs, there is something for everyone: our dances are fun and challenging to those with experience, but easy and enjoyable to learn for those with none.
Our bookings manager and band leader, Michael, personally manages all bookings from the initial enquiry right up to the last note of the evening. If you are looking for friendly advice or suggestions he is only a phone call or email away!
As your big day approaches, Michael will be on hand to guide you through decisions regarding the finer details of the evening helping the band provide a truly tailored service on the night which meets, and hopefully exceeds, your high expectations.
We know that timing really is everything and will work with you and your venue in the run-up to the wedding to develop realistic schedules for your special night. We’ll find a convenient time in your day to set up our equipment and sound check, meaning that your ceilidh can start on time and without a hitch!

It is the ideal entertainment for so many events where many of the guests don't know each other as it allows people to mix, dance and get to know each other. • Standard Ceilidh Package
- Fully live three-piece band consisting of Fiddle, Piano and Drums.
- All dances called by a professional dance caller.

- Use of the band and our PA for up to 4 hours (including one 45-minute break).
- Your booking personally managed by Michael from initial enquiry until the hand-over to the band on ceilidh night.
- Management of background music using preset playlists (via our iPod or yours!)

You provide the playlist on a suitable device such as an iPod or tablet. We play it on our PA system. We will monitor the sound desk to ensure smooth running. However, gapless playback will be dependent on your device's specifications. Additional charges will apply beyond the initial four hour booking period.

Add stage uplighter, stage fill lighting and dance floor wash lighting. Ideal for venues with basic or no special lighting.This goes well with our Plus DJ service above!

To give you total peace of mind about the musical arrangements for your wedding, Tartan Trio can provide all the music you need throughout the day. Whether you choose our violin and piano duo, Jazz trio or harpist, we have a range of ceremony and background packages which can be purchased separately or mix and matched.
Ceremony:
