Tara is a professional musician, singer and music teacher hailing from the far shores of Australia and now settled in UK's number one city for music, Bristol. She studied piano from the early age of 7 and has played and performed in many different groups from an early age. At the age of 25 she decided to move her musical interests across the globe and got drawn to one of the best musical cities in the UK, Bristol. Once settled in Bristol, she began playing keys and singing backing vocals in a folk band called TR Clemmett in 2012 and then joined one of Bristol's iconic gypsy-folk bands, The Rin Tins. She currently plays keys and sings in The Rin Tins and has done so for the past four years. During this time she fell in love with singing and decided she wanted to do more of it! She started a small trio with two other members of The Rin Tins and called it "Ruby Two Shoes". They started performing their favourite jazz and folk songs and also began busking on the streets of Bristol. Gaining popularity, they decided to expand their group to include drums and bass to cater for larger gigs when needed. 'Ruby Two Shoes' is becoming a popular swing band in Bristol and often gets booked for events in the thriving Swing Dance community. Tara also decided to start another big band that would satisfy her urge to perform some of her favourite 50's and 60's rock n' roll, soul and RnB songs. She called it "Ruby and the Robinsons" and asked some of Bristols finest musicians to help make this band the groovin' party band that it is today! Complete with driving horn section, 'Ruby and the Robinsons' have quickly made an impression on the Bristol music scene with excellent feedback from iconic music venues, The Old Duke and The Golden Lion.
