Tanpura Knights

Tanpura Knights play a sublime mixing of classical western guitar and eastern Hindustani/Carnatic Tanpura providing a unique musical experience for all ages. Paul's Tanpura playing provides a beautiful low bed of resonating strings timbre, which creates a relaxing, meditative veil of sound. Over which Ben plays a range of melodies, some slow and moving, others fast and exciting. Your guests will hear a variety of self composed instrumentals and the odd cover aswell. You can either engage with the music and its changing moods, or just relax and listen to it more in the background.  Whichever,  we strive to make your experience a fantastic one. Ben has decades of experience of playing guitar and performing different  styles  of music in bands, duos and as a solo musician. Paul has been playing tanpura for fifteen years and has studied Indian classical music. We get a real buzz when performing together and this comes across in our performance energy. A highlight from 2024 was playing at a family party in a museum in west London. What a terrific atmosphere !
