Tammy

Tamzene is a singer-songwriter from the small coastal town of Cromarty in the Scottish Highlands. Of mixed Jamaican and Irish heritage, she grew up immersed in the records of Roberta Flack, Aretha Franklin and Nina Simone. Her journey as an artist began in 2020 with ‘accidentally told you’, a poignant piano ballad that showcased her exceptional voice and gift for storytelling, particularly her ability to paint life’s grey areas in vibrant, soulful colour. Since then her work has garnered widespread support, finding champions in Spotify and Apple Music, earning airplay on BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music, and receiving glowing praise from publications including CLASH Magazine. Sold-out shows at London's The Lower Third and Omeara have seen Tamzene emerge as a compelling and captivating live act.  Tamzene has been performing since a teenager. Beginning her live career on the streets of Inverness as a busker, before graduating to local venues and festivals. She cut her teeth on the small venue circuit of Leeds, whilst gaining a music degree from the Conservatoire. Since Tamzene has opened for the likes of James Bay, Katie Melua, Jack Garratt, Tom Jones, Adele, Stevie Wonder and Jacob Banks, and has also soundtracked many weddings and special gatherings. Her passion for performance and her emotive style makes her the perfect voice to frame life's tender moments of celebration.
