Talia Ramos is a violinist and music arranger known for her emotional clarity, refined sound, and stylish, expressive approach. Born and raised in León, Spain, she moved to London in 2011 to further her studies and develop her artistic career. Classically trained at the Eduardo Martinez Torner Conservatoire (BMus Hons in violin performance), Talia has performed extensively as an orchestral musician and as part of a violin duo with ensembles across Spain and the UK. While rooted in classical tradition, her musical path has naturally expanded into jazz and contemporary styles through collaborations with artists such as singer-songwriter Josh Geffin, jazz pianist Tom Sochas, and French composer Thierry Deneux. Whether interpreting classical repertoire or creating bespoke arrangements for session work, Talia brings emotional honesty, musical precision, and a strong sense of storytelling to every performance. She is an active member of Duo Klier, alongside violinist Pablo Castro, performing original works for two violins and crafting tailored arrangements for violin duo. She has also worked as a musician in residence with the DaCapo Music Foundation, where she completed their professional development programme. Recent highlights include performing Camille Saint-Saëns’ Danse Macabre at the CFAR psychoanalytic lecture What Happens When We Can No Longer Love? Surprise and Psychoanalysis, featuring Lacanian analyst Astrid Zecena. Alongside her performing career, Talia is deeply committed to teaching. She is a co-founder of Muswell Hill Violin Studio in London, where she combines professional performance with high-quality music education. Talia believes in the quiet power of music to communicate what words cannot, and sees music-making as a gift every child should have the opportunity to explore. As a session musician, she is available for studio recordings and live performances, including gallery openings, private celebrations, corporate events, and special occasions. She brings warmth, sensitivity, and expressive depth to every project, connecting in a natural, meaningful way with the audience and the atmosphere. We have had the pleasure of seeing Pablo and Talia in concert and look forward to hearing them again. Their playing is so beguiling and they have introduced us to composers whose works I had not been familiar with previously, but will now seek out because of their beautiful playing

Customer questions

Do you have different line-up options?

I normally perform on my own with backing music and PA system (I bring my own for small venues). My line up can include a second violinist, depending on availability.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually set up about 30-45 min. before the performance time. As soon as my PA is set up I can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

My set lists are crafted from many performances and learning what works best to ensure guests have a great time. But I am more than happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes! I bring my own instrument to play acoustically and my own PA system with a pick-up to make my acoustic violin electric -it blends beautifully with the backing music, keeping that acoustic elegant style but louder and brighter!

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song isn't included in my repertoire list, there may be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £40 for this service to take into account arranging and rehearsal times.
