We recently had the pleasure of hosting an ABBA tribute band Take a Chance on Three at Mears Ashby Village Hall, and they were absolutely fantastic. From the moment they arrived, the group was polite, respectful, proficient, and a joy to work with, making the whole experience seamless for our organisers. Their performance was energetic and engaging, with brilliant attention to detail that really captured the spirit of ABBA. The audience interaction was great —encouraging everyone to sing along, get up, and dance, which created a lively and inclusive atmosphere throughout the evening. It was clear the crowd loved every minute, with the dance floor full and smiles all around. We received so many positive comments from the audience, and the band played a huge part in making the event such a success. We would be more than happy to book them again in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a fun, professional, and crowd-pleasing act.

I am always looking at different options to provide entertainment at my place of work so when I came across Take A chance on Three I thought I might just do that! The band were not only professional and courteous, but also great performers. The audience of over 60’s loved the sing along and even managed a dance too. We would definitely recommend Take A chance on Three.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Clients love the energy, authenticity, and connection we bring to every performance. We recreate the joy, harmonies, and feel of ABBA’s music in a fresh, dynamic three-piece format. Audiences feel part of the show, singing along, dancing, and reliving the magic together. Our professionalism means that clients can relax knowing they are in good hands.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

There is only one answer to this question - ABBA. All three members of the band love ABBA's music and the legacy that they have left us, with their fun videos, fantastic live performances on film and most of all their glorious pop music.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Lovat Fields Retirement Village, Willen, Milton Keynes We held a showcase performance for friends, family and agencies. Our performance was received enthusiatically with everyone dancing, singing along and having a wonderful time.

Do you have different line-up options?

One lineup is a follows: Lead/Backing Vocals x 2, Guitar and Backing Vocals, plus backing tracks.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 2 hours before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!

Can you roam around while you perform?

Yes - we either perform acoustically and our 2 singers have radio mics.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from many performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our PA and lighting system is included in your quote. We usually require a minimum of 4m by 4m space to perform.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you (providing we have enough notice). There is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc.
