David McTea and the Swinging Magpies played for the Gold & Silver Wyre Drawers Livery Company in the impressive surroundings of the Prince Albert room at London Zoo. The music they chose and the way in which it was played was exceptional and just what we wanted. We did not want the music to be too loud to interfere with conversation going on in the room yet it was perfect for dancing to on the dance floor. So well judged. I would recommend the band for any event where quality is required.

These guys have to be one of the best, most professional and friendly bands I’ve ever had the privilege to work with! From initial contact to turning up on the day, David and the band have made everything so easy for us when we had other things to concentrate on. As most of our guests at the wedding were musicians (including ourselves) we wanted a band that had the potential to wow everyone and be out of the norm of normal wedding bands, and they certainly proved that. We’ve had nothing but raving reviews from our friends and family regarding the band, as everything from their sound quality, performance and get up was nothing less than perfect. Fantastically easy to work with and incredibly talented - they were worth more than what we paid for them.

This band are great! Really friendly players, music was top notch and exactly what our 1920s night needed - they created the perfect atmosphere. Would happily book them again.
