About Sway Allstars

Have you ever wondered what all the musicians you see on the TV behind the big stars do in their spare time?......
Party band
London
Public liability insurance of £5 million

We all met on TV shows like Later With Jools & Graham Norton and tours playing for people like Amy Winehouse (our drummer was her drummer), Robbie Williams (one of our singers was in his band and is in the Let Me Entertain You video), Gary Numan (our keyboard player has been his keyboard player for over 20 years), Kylie (several tours & TVs) & Jess Glynne, Sigala, Years & Years (various band members, various appearances) and we decided to put an elite squad together and cherry-pick the best parties around the world to perform at. The SWAY ALLSTARS offers musicianship and professionalism of the very highest standard and we guarantee that it’s “THAT BAND!!” that your guests are talking about on their way home. We are Sir Richard Branson’s pet band having played at his house many times and at Virgin Atlantic’s 25th birthday party in New York with Fat-Boy Slim and over 20 other Virgin events including The Palms Hotel in Las Vegas, a Bollywood film set in Mumbai, Arca in Tel Aviv, Marula Manor in Nairobi, The Boatyard club in Barbados, Shangri-La in Shanghai, and The Tropicana in Havana, Cuba. Sir Richard has actually recommended us to some of his friends and associates (the cheque’s in the post Mr Branson!) We have performed for Royalty & film stars, on private yachts in Cannes harbour & Sun City, South Africa and WITH guest singers Smokey Robinson, Alexandra Burke, Nicole Scherzinger, Ellie Goulding & Lemar FOR Prince Charles, Prince Andrew, Princess Alia of Jordan & the King Of Bahrain. Another of our famous clients is Samuel L Jackson (a Jedi!) – he has asked us to play at several of his parties including as house-band for two of his Celebrity Karaoke Nights at Abbey Road Studios in London. We play pop, rock, soul, disco, funk, Klezmer, Motown, RnB and cocktail/ dinner music with a wealth of experience in entertaining people from many cultures, age-groups and backgrounds. We have performed in elegant white, James Bond black, bright colourful suits, fancy dress, cabin crew uniforms – we’re open to suggestions! We’re well-known for our dance routines, we encourage audience-participation, and we guarantee a full dance-floor. A dynamic explosion of slick and exciting non-stop magic that will thrill your guests and keep them dancing all night. The important thing to us is that you get exactly what you want (plus a little bit of extra magic). We will meet with you and discuss your requirements and go through your event from beginning to end to make sure every detail is taken care of to the highest standard. With so many years working in so many different areas of entertainment we are extremely versatile and can accommodate all tastes, types of events, requests and excel all expectations. No venue or party is too big or too small – we have played at corporate events at Wembley Stadium and weddings in people’s gardens. We have played at charity events at the Royal Albert Hall and birthday parties in the local village hall. We have built the reputation that if you want the best, STRESS-FREE, you book Sway! We bring the magic!

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

We guarantee a full dancefloor and a party that people will be telling their friends about.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

The Royal Albert Hall, Wembley Arena, The MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Sun City in South Africa, The Dorchester Hotel in London (and people's homes & gardens up and down the country).

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Prince, Nile Rogers & the Beatles

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

We played at a private party for Samuel L Jackson at Abbey Road Studios in London attended by A-list celebrities. We have played for royalty in Oman, Dubai and Bahrain. We played at Sir Richard Branson's house.

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

We strive to make sure the line-up you see is what you get on the night. We do have pre-auditioned 'dep' musicians available in case a band member falls ill or is unavailable. As a professional band our reputation means everything so you can be confident that all of our players are of a very high level.

Do you have different line-up options?

We mainly perform as 7 or 10 piece line-up but we can go down to a 6 piece or up to a 12 piece and any combination in between. We offer a duo, sax & DJ and 5 or 5 piece DJ-Live set as well.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We are very flexible. Timings are just for guidelines. If load-in has to get much earlier or load-out is past 1am there may be an extra charge but all other timings are flexible.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, No problem. No charge.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes it is.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes. Almost certainly.
