Susanna Meszaros is a British-Hungarian cellist, currently studying cello with Richard Lester at the prestigious Royal College of Music. She is particularly drawn to the art of Historical Performance and in addition, plays the baroque cello and viola de gamba. Recent chamber music and orchestra performances included, most notably, concerts held at Buckingham Palace and Cadogan Hall, besides having recorded at Abbey Road Studios. She performs on an old Saxon cello from the year 1850 which Peter Vel had so generously lent to her. Having gained a DipABRSM in teaching, Susanna is passionate about teaching cello and music theory and has successfully prepared over 30 students for their ABRSM and Trinity Music exams. She regularly parforms on solo, chamber music and orchestra gigs, functions and parties. As a member of the Musicians Union I held a public liability insurance.

"Susanna Meszaros performed a lunch-time cello recital at the Guild Church of St. Dunstan-the-West on Wednesday 9th May 2018. Susanna was accompanied on the piano by Maria Tarasewicz. This was an excellent and stylish performance by Susanna – extremely professional and polished. The piece by Judith Weir, Unlocked for Solo Cello – Make me a Garment – was played with particular sensitivity. The recital was well-attended, with an increasing number of people being attracted in by the flair and outstanding quality of the performance by Susanna. On a personal level, I found Susanna a delight to work with, and thoroughly enjoyed being able to help her in providing her with the opportunity to play at St. Dunstan-in-the-West, and to such a high standard. I would be only too pleased for Susanna to play at St. Dunstan’s again."
