Sunil made his piano concerto debut aged 16 with his school orchestra, playing Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. Since then concerto appearances have included Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No.2, once with Solent Symphony Orchestra and once with the University of Cambridge Philharmonic Orchestra (UCPO), Brahms Piano Concerto No.2, Grieg’s Piano Concerto, Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No.1 and Piano Concerto No.2, Liszt’s Piano Concerto No.1 and Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No.3 also with UCPO, Mozart’s Piano Concerto No.23 with the Margaret Wileman Music Society (Cambridge), Franck's Symphonic Variations for Piano and Orchestra with Trinity Players, Cambridge, and Beethoven’s Triple Concerto with the University of Cambridge Philharmonia (UCP). Sunil was recently awarded a Distinction for his Licentiate Recital Diploma from Trinity College London. As an undergraduate he was awarded Trinity College’s Edith Leigh Prize (University of Cambridge) for piano playing. As a repetiteur, he has worked with several university choirs, as well as amateur and professional opera productions, from The Magic Flute, The Marriage of Figaro, Don Giovanni, and Eugene Onegin (Cambridge University Opera Society), Cosi fan Tutte and La Boheme (Dulwich Opera Company) to Verdi’s Nabucco and Puccini’s Turandot (Dorset Opera). Sunil is an experienced conductor of orchestral and choral music, having conducted the college chorus and orchestra at Trinity College Cambridge for several years. Other commitments have included conducting the University of Cambridge Philharmonic Orchestra and Philharmonia for 4 years, Musical Director for several university Gilbert and Sullivan productions, Assisstant Musical Director for Cambridge University Opera Society's production of The Marriage of Figaro, and Assistant Chorus Master for Dorset Opera.
