Sue Busby

My career has been very varied. I have given many public performances of concerti including: Vaughan-Williams, Mozart , Cimerosa, Vivaldi, Bach double & Frost (composed specifically for me). I spent many years touring with the London Wind Quartet before the group had to part company due to members localities changing. Since this time I have focused on pit work for both opera & shows, including West Ends & touring productions. Companies past & present include Duchy opera, Regency Opera, English Festival Opera & Dorset Opera. I am still involved in chamber music playing with the Mallard oboe trio & Cantiga (oboe, cor & guitar). I have been 1st oboist for the Chameleon Arts Orchestra for many years & for 8 years played 1st oboe for the Belmont Ensemble. Alongside my performance work I teach oboe & piano including being oboe professor at Kneller Hall the army school of music.
