The Sue Barron Jazz Quartet have been gigging in and around Manchester, the North West and further afield for over 17 years. We have performed for many weddings and functions plus at many venues having held long standing residencies of over 2 years at several venues. We can perform a selection of jazz standards, swing, blues, bossa Novas and a selection of contemporary songs associated with artists such as Eva Cassidy, Carol King, Dusty Springfield, Sade, Caro Emerald, Adel and more. For a wedding with reasonable notice we are always happy to learn your 'special song' if it's not in our repertoire. We can perform music to get you dancing to beautiful ballads.

A fantastic evening 'for one night only' at Stockport Plaza. Sue Barron and her band provided the evenings entertainment for our GP's retirement party. Meticulous preparation by Sue enabled all Barbara's favourite songs to be played which made an already emotional evening even better. There was something for everyone in the performance. The party was a surprise so everyone had to be installed early - the band went out of their way to fit in with this despite making the evening even longer. We would highly recommend having the Sue Barron Quartet at your party or event, it made the evening just perfect!

Customer questions

Do you have different line-up options?

Yes we do, we are listed here as a quartet, line up of singer, piano, bass, drums. But you can add on a saxophone or reduce to a singer, piano and bass trio or singer and piano duo.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible and to do our utmost to ensure that your event runs smoothly. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We don’t provide full DJ set but we can play background music in between sets.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about an hour before the start.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best and what people enjoy. However we are definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes all our equipment and PA is included in our quote.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes we can provide this service. If there is a special song you’d like that is not in our repertoire then with reasonable notice we can learn this to perform for your event.
