The Long Lost Band, from Lancaster, is an intriguing psych outfit in its own right, releasing an excellent album, Death Of The Album, in 2012. The influences of Buckley and Love are self-evident but the album stands on its own merits. For some years, their lead vocalist, Stuart Anthony, had been in touch with Larry Beckett in Portland, Oregon, and Beckett had entrusted them with new lyrics, which led to their collaboration, One More Mile. Most of the songs are performed by the band, but Beckett also recites five poems to music during the album.
