Founded in 2017 Strings Attached is a versatile violin duo covering a variety of repertoire from 1950’s to present day. SA are classically trained at top London music conservatoires. Their ability to be creative and incorporate improvisation into their music leads to each performance being unique and tailored to the event. (Use of extended technology such as loop pedal and drum pad enhance the performance when necessary). Acoustic handmade violins are used with top of the range pick ups, creating an authentic sound. They offer an extended range of entertainment suited for all occasions and generations. SA often perform as resident musicians at Princess and Carnival Cruises worldwide.

Strings Attached Violins played during our drinks reception at our wedding party. They were absolutely fantastic, the perfect music for our country farm setting. All the guests enjoyed hearing the music, with many comments after. They are such a lovely couple and an absolute pleasure to deal with during the booking process. Carl was extremely punctual at returning my messages and no request was too much. They played a mix of classical and more modern music with a twist, which everyone loved. I would not hesitate to book them again, and if you are looking for beautiful music for your event I would 100% recommend this brilliant duo. Thank you so much for making our wedding extra special.

These two play their violins with all their hearts, and several songs even moved me to tears. It was awesome to watch them flawlessly switch playing lead, on the fly. Their music is amazing. I was mesmerized by their talent. If you ever get a chance to see them play, they'll stop you in their tracks. They're wonderful people, Karina and Carl. They graciously played requests and are so friendly! If I had the money and the time, I'd attend every concert they were to ever play. They were the best hire Princess Cruise Lines ever made.

Customer questions

Do you have different line-up options?

We are a violin duo, however we are able to expand to string quartet if you can give at least 1 months notice prior to the event.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 30 mins before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

We have a varied selection of theme set lists. If you have a preference of song from our lists, we would be more than happy to play in the order you like.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, we have all equipment needed to perform and can include a PA system if necessary.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £20 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Unique ability to perform a large variety of styles in a violin duo format with quality backing tracks when necessary.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

We have worked for Princess Cruises as resident musicians, travelling around the world, from Caribbean, Japan, Europe and more. We are also guest entertainers for Carnival Cruise line.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

We are inspired by many different styles of music and love to challenge ourselves in implementing as many as possible in to our violin duo repertoire. Particular artists such as The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley etc we have even dedicated theme sets to.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
