⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Incredible Ceili Band – The Heart of Our Wedding Celebration! We were absolutely thrilled with the ceili band who played at our wedding — they were nothing short of exceptional! From the moment they started playing, the atmosphere was electric. They brought so much energy, joy, and authentic Irish charm to the evening, and our guests are still raving about how much fun they had on the dance floor. They guided everyone (even the total beginners!) through the dances with such friendliness and enthusiasm, making it easy for everyone to join in and have a laugh. The music itself was phenomenal — lively, traditional, and full of soul. You could tell how passionate and talented the musicians were. The band were also a pleasure to deal with in the lead-up to the day — professional, responsive, and genuinely lovely people. They played a huge part in making our wedding so memorable, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for more. If you’re thinking about booking a ceili band for your event, don’t hesitate — these guys are the real deal. A perfect blend of tradition, talent, and fun!

The band was just great! They read the crowd well (it was slightly older (70th birthday party), so they allowed for plenty of breaks to rest and chat) and got loads of people up dancing, many of whom were a bit nervous to start, but ended up thoroughly enjoying themselves. The caller, Diarmuid, was a great teacher and everyone learned the steps quickly. One of the really nice things was that the music and dancing were done with the lights on and it wasn't too loud, so still possible for those not dancing to have chats in the background. The caller and the musicians were so accommodating and friendly too. I would highly recommend them!

All that we could have wished for. An event involving all ages groups from aged 5 to 80+ and everyone was dancing. An excellent caller, one of the key skills needed.

Customer questions

Can you perform covers?

Yes we can play anything really but it would be just piano. Trad instruments sound terrible in covers!

Do you have different line-up options?

Yes, we can do a 2 piece band [minimum], which would be a keys player covering bass, guitar, accordion, flute, strings piano etc which really fills out the sound. To this we can add any number of trad players and we recommend a variety of trad instruments.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Between the dances we actually play trad session music to keep the energy going and people very often get up onto the dance floor and do their own freestyle riverdance during this!

How much time do you need to set up?

40 mins once all the gear is unloaded to the performance area. The closer we can park [one car] the better. Having to use a lift to go up a floor adds to the time, as does having to move the car after unloading.

Do you provide a caller?

Yes we do! We have a fantastic caller as part of our Ceilidh band so just let us know whether you already have one, or don't need one, so we can adjust our line-up accordingly.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Absolutely. It would be the dances that you would pick. We play the best of the Irish and Scottish dances and the ones that get requested the most are the Waves of Tory and Strip The Willow.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA) included in your quote?

Yes. Digital kepboard plus PA gear with roving mike.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes, however it would be piano only for an actual 'song'. We mostly play trad music for the dances and for in between the dances when people are having a bit of a rest.
