Hi folks, Playing piano and singing is my life's work. I take my job very seriously whilst having as much fun as I can in the process! I've been lucky enough to play at the highest levels of the music industry, but it's the private events and solo gigs that I really enjoy doing. I take a lot of pride in my reputation as a top pianist and singer but I'm also very keen to make sure that I maintain a reputation for having good relationships with my clients. Music is a very personal thing and it doesn't work as well unless you connect with your clients and the audience. Hire me and I'll do my very best to make sure your event is as special and memorable as possible! In addition... One of the most exciting developments in my recent career has been live streaming. Using a full professional multi camera setup and fully mixed audio, I can stream directly to your laptop, TV or any other internet enabled device. This makes for some exciting possibilities! Imagine your own private concert to celebrate an anniversary, birthday or any other occasion. Or maybe you're having a house party and you'd like to turn it into your own virtual piano bar. Just hook your laptop up to a bluetooth speaker and away you go! Plus, it is as interactive as you want it to be. Type comments and requests directly to me instantly or just sit back and enjoy. You have the option of being on camera too; or, if you prefer, you can just keep it one way. It's a far less intrusive way to invite a musician into your home! And during these unusual times it's the perfect solution to entertaining whilst social distancing! Of course, some times you need the full live experience; and I love to do that too; but this format creates a truly unique experience. Perhaps the most exciting part for me is that I can perform to anywhere in the world at any time! To find out more about how it works; or if you're interested in booking then please get in touch. And please check out the video examples in my profile to get a taste of what it looks and sounds like... Whatever option you choose, I hope to play for you soon! Steve 'As a piano player, guitarist and singer, the diversity of Steve’s musical output has been wide and varied. Over the years Steve has been drafted in to play keyboards for several artists including Jamelia, Leo Sayer, Mel C, Paul Young, Sophie Ellis-Bexter, Rebecca Ferguson, Corey Hart, The Overtones, Lulu, Tulisa, Nadine Coyle and many others. As well as being a recording artist and a regular on the session scene, Steve takes great pride in his role as the gentleman of the piano bars! You can often find him on a Saturday night surrounded by groups of enthusiastic partiers!' “I first saw Steven at a bar in Cheltenham, then met him properly at a wedding I was running back in 2013. Since then I've booked him regularly and at every opportunity; from a Sunday piano session, to a weekend night of amazing covers, several weddings, a dinner party and a Friday night bar shake up! Steven can work a crowd, command a room or play background music. To top it off his voice is incredible. He is the best pianist and vocalist I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Five stars, a sheer talent, and there isn't anyone better.” - L.M Duffy, Events Coordinator

Great evening having Steve sing and play the piano for my 40th. He got everyone on the dance floor (even the non-dancers!) played some great music and was more than happy to take requests. We didn’t want him to finish! Don’t hesitate to book him for your next event.

My wife and I hired Steven to play as the evening entertainment on our wedding day and without hesitation I would rate him as a 5-star performer. In the build up to the day, Steven was communicative, flexible, and very helpful. He was always happy to jump on a call or reply to a message. As a result, booking Steven was fast and stress free. On the day he arrived at the venue, unloaded his equipment and was setup in plenty of time and without any fuss. His equipment setup was highly professional, and his set list was chosen perfectly, reflecting the atmosphere in the room on the day. At very short notice Steven rehearsed and accompanied our First Dance, which obviously went perfectly as a result. Having a live singer / pianist performing during the evening phase of our wedding created a sophisticated, fun, and relaxed atmosphere. I would absolutely hire Steven Reid Willams again!

‘Would 100% recommend Steve! He played at our wedding breakfast and not only was his playing superb, but his song choice was excellent too. He picked up on the atmosphere we were hoping to create instantly and his playing made for such a great ambience! We requested an entrance song which he aced and he was professional and polite throughout. Amazing playing and great voice - what more could you want? Thank you Steve!’

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Usually the way I engage with the audience, taking requests and pulling off tunes they don't expect me to manage! Plus, I try and make sure that my playing and singing is of the highest standard. I like to think that people can tell the difference.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I've performed everywhere from the 02 arena to my local pub! I once sang for the Archbishop of Uganda (weird gig) and I've also played in a cowshed! Generally I play very lovely venues ranging from piano bars and wedding venues to concert halls and theatres.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Hmm...Bruce Hornsby for the piano perhaps, but I tend to listen to music of all styles and glean everything I can. My singing has many influences too but how it comes out is hopefully just...me!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

That's a tough question to answer. In terms of audience numbers it would probably be on the Zoe Ball breakfast show, which has several million listeners, but in concert terms then perhaps supporting Elton John on his 2011 tour. Personally I don't think it matters how high profile a musician's gigs are; only what quality he or she performs at.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

No problem, timings often change! I always aim to be as flexible as possible.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Of course, no problem.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually set up about 1 to 2 hours before the performance time. As soon as the PA is set up I can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests warmed up.

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Yes, of course - as long as the piano is in working order and in tune, then I'm happy to play on it!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

My set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, I'm definitely happy to chat things through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Of course, no problem. All my gear is of the very best quality too.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Sure, within reason, no problem.
