Verified profile

I've been playing guitar since I was 8 years old, writing songs and playing in bands since my early teens. When performing solo, I play instrumental versions of popular, really well-known songs. I can perform sets based on your selection of songs from my repertoire, or I can choose what to play - whatever you, the customer, wants! When I'm not busy doing solo work, I'm also lead guitarist with The Boatmen, the Latiesha Maria band and half of Midnight Hoboes.

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

They tell me they love my music and musicianship.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I have performed all over the UK, in everything from Scout Huts to Stadiums, but I'm happy playing in smaller clubs, pubs and private venues as well.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

People like Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, Tom Petty, The Eagles, Michael Buble. But I just love good music, any good music.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

I played in 2019 at a stadium in Cardiff to many thousands of people, so that would be the one.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I appreciate that arrangements can change, often at short notice! I'll do my very best to fit in and be flexible to help you make your event run as smoothly as possible.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

I'm happy to provide music through my PA, both before I play, in between my sets and after I finish (for an additional fee if it means I have to stay later at the venue). You can provide the music yourself on an iPod or similar, or send me details of the style of music you'd like and I'll do the rest!

How much time do you need to set up?

I can be set up and ready to play in seconds if it's an acoustic guitar gig. For bookings where I need my full PA and lighting etc. then I'll need around 45 minutes to be ready to perform.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Absolutely, I'm happy to play what you want to hear. However, if you'd rather leave the music selection up to me, just give me an idea of the vibe you're looking for and I'll do the rest.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

I bring everything needed for my performance, including lighting, PA etc. All I need from you is a performance area at least 2 meters square and a suitable nearby mains electricity supply. Oh, and parking near where the stage is!

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

I'm happy to learn and perform a song or two of your choosing if they're not already in my set list, providing I have a few weeks between when you booked me and the performance date to learn them!
