What do your clients love most about your performances?
The variety of music, the dynamic performance and the interaction/chat with the audience. I strive to include everyone in the music by catering to all tastes humanly possible! So many music fans love to watch a looping performance and fellow musicians congratulate me when I 'loop' concisely without ages building up songs. Watch some of my videos to see it!
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
I've played cruise ships, tugboats, manors, mansions, festivals, clubs, pubs, weddings and wakes! I have a number of residencies in around Yorkshire where the average music fan can enjoy some of my original music as well as a healthy serving of cover versions.
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
I had nearly every compilation of Now! playing at home in my formative years, it's where I got my love for pure pop music but I love the music that soundtracked the video games I played when I was much shorter. The chords, melodies and rhythm of anything 'Nintendo' helped my ear latch on to the marvel of ABBA a bit later- to pretty much all great pop music!
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
I supported The Fratellis in Sheffield's o2 Academy which is the biggest merit on my musical CV! I've regular gigs from several restaurant chains these days which keeps me feeling like a rockstar as well as enquiries across the length and breadth of the UK (and Ireland too!) Although saying that, playing my sister down the aisle feels pretty Hollywood to me!
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know.
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free. If you'd like background music after the final set I can, provide this for an additional £75.
How much time do you need to set up?
I usually set up at least 45 minutes before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for my beautiful voice and sizzlin' guitar!
Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?
My set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, i'm definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for you.
Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?
Yes, absolutely! I bring my own guitar, microphones and speakers to play through acoustically along with a handful of peripherals to add an extra dimension to my performances like guitar effects.
Can you learn specific pieces before the event?
If a song isn't included in my song list I might still already know it. If there is a special song you'd like i'd be more than happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc.
