Stephen Mackrill

Since 11 I have been drummer. I turned pro officially at 25 after quitting my day job of 9 years. Since then I have been in resident bands on holiday parks, cruise ships, hotels and bars in Middle east. I have ran several bands on my own (currenly The Thrillionaires here on Encore) I am called on to dep at Warner's hotels when the house drummer wants a night off, is ill or has taken a gig that night elsewhere. These range from backing the in-house shows to band sets. I have done more tribute acts than and I can count, all from Queen, to Frank Sinatra, I have a great ear for harmony vocal with a high range, though I avoid lead vocals! With a plethora Pro level acoutsic and electric kits at my disposal, there's no situation I feel would be above me in terms of ability, well I draw a line at speed metal perhaps. As a sound engineer, that started in the shop I worked at 16 and has come through to studio work using tape machines to pro level DAW systems, to live sound with touring theatre acts using analogue and digital gear. I have no health issues and am not phased by a lot of humping of gear!
