Stephanie is a London born mezzo-soprano. In July 2016 she will graduate from the University of York with a BA (2:1) in Sociology with Social Psychology. Throughout her degree she has been studying voice with Alex Ashworth. Prior to this, she trained with Linda Hirst.
She has been involved in a number of opera, concert, musical theatre and straight theatre productions within the past few years, predominantly in and around the York area. In November 2016 she will sing the role of Third Lady in Hampstead Garden Opera’s production of The Magic Flute. She has recently sung the role of Lucretia (April 2016) in Aspect Opera’s inaugural production, to great critical acclaim. She will sing the role of Florence Pike in Aspect Opera’s 2017 production of Britten’s Albert Herring. She is also the recipient of the Sarah Walker CBE Mezzo-Soprano award from the AIMS Bursary fund 2016; this is the top award to mark its ten-year anniversary. In 2015 she sang with OperaCoast as a principle (Javotte) in their production of Manon and took part in masterclasses with Della Jones at the National Opera Studio. It is her intention to apply for a masters in Classical Voice for 2017 entry.
