Stephanie Shore is a freelance trombonist and music educator. Graduating from the Royal Academy of Music in 2013 where she gained a BMus (Hons) in trombone performance and studied classical trombone with Dudley Bright, Mark Templeton, Matt Gee and Ian Bousfield. Stephanie has a passion for Jazz and pop playing and took up second study Jazz trombone under the tuition of Gordon Campbell and Mark Bassey. Whilst at the Royal Academy of Music Stephanie played in many of the orchestral and opera projects, playing under prestigious conductors such as Sir Colin Davis, Mark Elder, Yan Pascal Tortelier, Jane Glover. Stephanie also played in numerous Academy Jazz Orchestra concerts and several of the Musical theatre productions in the Sir Jack Lyons Theatre at the Royal Academy of Music. As a freelance professional Stephanie plays orchestrally and as a jazz/pop session player in and around the London area. She has played in professional productions of Peter Pan, A Chorus Line and Mack & Mabel. She also made an appearance at the 2010 Reading & Leeds Festival with band Mr FOGG on the BBC introducing stage which was aired on Television. In May 2012 Stephanie won 2nd place in the Don Lusher Soloist Competition held by the British Trombone Society.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know but a new fee may have to be negotiated if significantly different times or length of booking is longer.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, absolutely! I bring my own instrument to play acoustically.

Playing for Queen Beats Function Band: I have always found Steph to be the ultimate professional. She has played in my band and also charted up material for me. She’s punctual, knowledgable, prepared and great fun to be around to. She works hard on stage bringing great energy and skilful playing to her performance. She’ll always be my first choice trombone player.
