The Spark Duo (Dan & Juraj) love performing relaxed background jazz and fresh pop music covers at weddings and corporate events around the UK, bringing with them a stylish and intimate atmosphere. Trained at the Royal Northern College of Music, the duo are experienced across a range of styles including jazz, swing, pop, ballads, funk and classical, and love to play requests from guests. The Spark duo have performed with us on a few occasions now, they have always been a delight to work with. They provide a wonderful ambiance in the restaurant with their act. Customer questions

Do you have different line-up options?

Yes! usually we perform as a duo (saxophone and piano), but we also work with a bassist and drummer, enabling you to expand the duo to a trio or quartet.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible, and we understand that timings may change slightly. If this happens, please just let us know as soon as possible.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely! As soon as our speakers are set up, we play background music to set the atmosphere before our performance, and make sure to do the same during our break. We are also able to continue this service after our sets for an additional 'late-stay' charge.

How much time do you need to set up?

Usually we arrive at least 45mins before our performance to setup, but this can be adjusted if you have specific requirements.

Can you roam around while you perform?

Dan, our sax player, uses a wireless microphone allowing him to stroll around and move freely.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure the music is suitable for a range of guests. However, please let us know if you have any particular songs and/or genres that you think would suit your event, and we'd be happy to try and include these.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our professional PA system is included in your quote. We usually require mains power, and a minimum of 2x3m space to perform.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you - please just let us know well in advance.
